Diversity Week 2013

On January 25, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ put on the annaul Diversity Week Festival, dedicated to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's 20th anniversary, in the Kyrgyz National Theater of Opera and Ballet.
Diasporas of the Assembly of Kyrgyzstan also participated in the show; they performed with ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ students, showed national dances and sang songs. Uzbeks, Caucasians, Tajiks, Slavs, Dungans, Tatars, Kyrgyzs, Uygurs, Chinese, Americans, Afghanis, and Koreans all put on expressive performances.
The event was opened with a short welcoming speech by Andrew Wachtel , ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ President, and Bektemir Murzubraimov , the Chair of the Assembly of Kyrgyzstan. The festival was very rich in content: all the participants put on detailed and emotional performances that demonstrated not only the diversity of nations, but also the diversity of talent at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
The annual festival was also celebrating its 10th anniversary, all of which have been under the direction of Nikolai Shulgin, Dean of Student Life.
