On February 7, a lecture by Bakyt Tokubek uulu, the IREX Country Coordinator, took place in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
Bakytbek Tokubek uulu was invited by Prof. Ch. Turdalieva to deliver a lecture about Islam in Cross-Cultural Context: Central Asia and Africa. He told about Islam and other beliefs among Tanzania people, and the everyday life of different communities in the semi-desert zone of Africa.
Background
Bakytbek Tokubek uulu graduated from Anthropology Department of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ in 2006 and got his MA from UN University of Peace on International Peace Studies. In 2012 he participated in Youth Conflict Prevention conference in Tanzania.
