The event was officially opened by ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ President, Timothy O’Connor, whose warm welcoming speech set the tone for the day. He thanked all the organizers of the event and deeply thanked all the students who came to the conference as participants and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of all student researchers and extended his best wishes for a successful and enriching experience throughout the conference.

The primary goal of the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Student Research Conference is to provide an inclusive platform where students could showcase their research projects—detailing their methodologies, sharing preliminary findings, and discussing the significance of their work.

Following the opening remarks, participants moved into parallel sessions that spanned a wide array of topics. Faculty members took on the role of moderators during these sessions. The topics covered were diverse and reflective of contemporary global challenges and academic interests. These included themes such as Gender, Identity & Mental Health; Migration and Development; Technology and Innovation; Law, Policy & Governance; Education; Mentorship & Youth; Environmental Sustainability; Cultural Studies; Economics; Political Science; and International Relations; among others.

Each session provided a lively forum for dialogue. Students presented concise yet comprehensive overviews of their projects—detailing research questions, methodologies employed (qualitative interviews, surveys, case studies, data analysis), preliminary results, or hypotheses—and explained why their work matters in broader societal or academic contexts. After each presentation concluded, there was ample time allocated for questions from fellow students and faculty members. This interactive offered presenters valuable feedback on refining their research processes.

As the conference drew to a close, participants gathered once again for the Award Ceremony. Every student who presented received a Certificate of Participation, a token of recognition for their contribution to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s academic community. The highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of the “Best Presentation Awardâ€, given to outstanding research projects that demonstrated exceptional impact on faculty and participants.ÌýÌý
